I love any form of de-stress and form of clearing my mind, whether that means coloring books, quotes, journals or more! Here are some of my favorites:
These are two super sweet coloring books. I have the Mindfulness one (much more intricate detailing), but have yet to purchase the Pattern Play one (more fun patterning). I love the mindfulness one since the prints are actually very relaxing and if you’re impatient like me, it may be frustrating to keep within the lines.
I choose to use this for when I am very stressed and studying rather than when I am bored at home, so I don’t get impatient but am actually really enjoying the coloring (or well, would rather color than study). I love the smooth soft cover, which just adds to the relaxation when simply holding the book. I can’t say much for the Pattern Play, but from Instagram photos, it seems more fun and cute if you are in the mood to doodle!
These Knock Knock brand journals are just aaaaamazing. Each page has a quote, a journal entry page with a rating of your mood. Its just so perfect! Please take the time to read the little blurb on each page. They all just really spoke to me. How about you? I chose to purchase the mini version of the It’s going to be okay and the regular version of I gotta be me. I felt as if those two really hit my worst enemy of anxiety and self-doubt! And so far, so good 🙂 I hope you get to choose one that suits you best!
Here are some of the quotes I really liked!
Fortune Favors the Brave was a gift from a dear friend of mine. It has so many powerful quotes that really empower you. Amazing work Lisa Congdon. Here is to some girl power! Perfect for a bedside read.
This is my favorite quote from the book. It’s definitely something I hope for! The cooolest illustrations as well!
While you journal, why not purchase a mug with a reminder for some tea? 🙂
Lastly, here is a super pretty notebook from Bando. I always struggle to regularly journal and what always gets me going are some cool or pretty journals. I get eager to open up my I gotta be me journal and I get eager to just look at and use my floral one.
It can be pretty intimidating to stare at some blank pages and wonder what to write.
For me, I never write down bad thoughts. I may type it up, then delete it all. I may cry it out or talk it out with someone else. But, I only write positive things in my journals. Why remember the bad feelings? Let them out, accept them, and move on.
In the fresh, happy journal, write down fresh, happy thoughts.
What are you grateful for? What makes you happy?
What happened today that was awesome? Who is important in your life and why?
What is amazing about yourself?
Why should you be happy and grateful?
Then don’t forget to read these entries whenever you are in a bad mood or when life brings you down. It is something that works for me and I hope it works for you as well!
